Be different! Offer a pedicure coupon (both men & women love them). See if a nail salon will barter/give you a price break. Then, just a couple of small adds stating "we'll do the taxes-you pamper yourself" etc should do it-word of mouth! |

Give away something useful that people won't throw away. Hand out dozens to your friends to hand out to their friends.
Word of mouth is the best advertising there is. Maybe you could offer a discount to customers that bring in other customers? |

It all depends on the size of your marketplace. Some things work better than others depending on the population and size of the city in which you live. Can you give feedback in regard to that? |

I hate I missed the question the first attempt... I am guessing it had more info. Based on the small amount of info, I would recommend a coupon mailer or post-card to the market you are trying to target.
You could also give "Bird-Dog Fees" ($10 reduction in service fees for every referred new client) or something like that to current clients who give referrals. Then give each part the freebie if it is appropriate.

Try making flyers and having the local banks put them on the same counters where the deposit slips are. Then ask a local (mon & pop) pizzaria to put the flyers on their pizza boxes. You can even print the boxes for them, if you want to spend a little extra $$ for a class operation...You can also buy a billboard for a couple of months. If your taxicab companies have ads on the cars, buy the space for your accounting firm. Mobile advertising is chap and it is seen where ever the car is, day or night... |
