Hi,
There are a number of problems I can find with your on page optimization.
Firstly if your major keyword you want to target is "Las Vegas Animal Hospital" It needs to be in the title tag, and isn't currently.
You need to work it into the title, and mention it as early as possible at the start of the title.
The maximum length you should use for the title tag is 64 characters, so keep it brief.
Also you are not using header tags, e.g <h1>,<h2>, etc.
These are also very important to tell the search engines what your website is about.
You should put your keywords in there as well (but as with the title, it should be human readable as well).
Do not repeat a <h1> tag is must only be in there once.
The other thing I notice that would not be helping is your html has about 20 or more script commands for google analytics in there.
You should remove all but one.
Also be sure to actually mention your keywords in the text, I could not seem to see them there.
In terms of getting to page I think it would not be too hard. The competition is pretty light on (only 1,580 in phrase match). That should be straight forward to dominate.
I took a look at your opposition in google, and you should be able to easily get to page 1, but not sure about position #1 due to google maps being there.
Here is a small free promotion technique that will help you harness the power of web 2.0...
This is a very small part of something we teach on my website that will propel you to page 1.
This drives traffic from clickthroughs but also builds solid backlinks.
Because many sites like squidoo are authority sites in google's eyes, piggy back on the back of this and give your site decent link power.
Many people I speak to are not aware that squidoo now has dofollow tags again, so that is a great way to get started.
Try this out.
1. Register a squidoo site, targeting your main keyword, throw up a bit of content and link to your website.
2. As above but for hubpages.
3. As above for weebly.com
4. As above for a wordpress.com (register with your keyword).
Use tags that consist of your main keywords and related content.
Then digg your youtube a/c (digg.com) and back this up with propeller.com
Now for the fun part.
Create a swurl.com, and link some of these accounts to that (this gives you instant backlinks).
Then submitt the rss feed for all of these to feedagg.com (for starters).
End of part 1.
You now have a heap of backlinks to your website.
You may find the websites you have created will outrank you website.
Part 2.
Do something similar in part #1, but link to each of the web sites you setup in part #1.
Do not put your links direct to your website for these sites, or link direct to them. Instead link only to the sites you created in part #1
(including the digg.com and propeller link).
Use another keyword this time (mix it up).
Do that for each website.
Submit feeds, etc again.
Then sit back and watch the traffic start to flow in and your rankings in the search engine to explode.
Prepare to be amazed. I have a more complex version (actually a number of versions) of this I use, and the results are often staggering.
e.g. To page 1 for competitive keywords in a day, decent traffic, etc.
Also if you start getting the results (and you will unless you're only targetting keywords with massive competition) go to a part #3, which links only to sites in part #2.
This will also drive your competitors crazy, because they won't understand why you rank so well, because they won't see all the networks of links you have built up (not hard to find them, but most people in my experience don't check).
Best of luck!
Cheers
Tim

You have a lot of links, but they all seem rather low quality to me. Half of them are from yahoo local listings. One extremely high quality or 2 high quality links should put you on the first page. I would check with your chamber of commerce to make sure you're getting a link from there. See if your local newspapers websites sell ad space your website. Just make sure the links point directly to your website and not through a redirect or nofollow attribute. There's also the Yahoo Directory. It's $300, but I still believe it's one of the best links one could get. A lot of times a website will be on the brink of ranking high in the search results, but it just needs that one high quality, trustworthy link. |

Both keywords have very big competition. For getting rank on page one, only backlinks are not important. You have to optimize your pages in visitor point of view.
For that you need to submit your site into social bookmarking websites and social community sites. Write good quality and informative articles and submit them into good directories. |

Add these keywords to your meta tags:
Las Vegas, vet, veterinarian, clinic,
animal hospital, pet, dog, cat, bird, ferret, rabbit, hamster, rat, snake, pig, exotic, ,
hospital, vaccination, boarding, dental, animal, spay, neuter, surgery, ,
wellness, Science Diet, Prescription Diet
Then add some good FRESH ( don't copy someone else"s) copy to your front page that includes these terms. Write it so that those words are used "naturally" don't just stuff them here and there. Use them early and often.
There's more that can be done but that's a good start for you.
Have Fun with it and think of some more words that might fit in well.

Nice site! It does have a low Google page rank -- maybe because it's fairly new. In your efforts to optimize, might you have overdone anything and gotten penalized? Have you used any good keyword density tools to make sure you are striking the optimal balance? It sounds like you have spent a lot of time on this. If time is money, have you considered Google adwords instead? |

The page rank is 2 which is quite OK. You can add more keywords and at the same time make it broader, there are many substitutes for "small animals" like dogs, cats...
Found that you have a Contact Us but you can add a Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. Copy and paste is a popular method.
You can also try to get back links from high ranked sites. There are lots of them out there. A few of them are below.
Are you updating the site regularly? That is important and to make it easier try to add a feed so it's done automagically :)
Exchange links with businesses of the same kind! You will all benefit from that!
You can find more about SEO online.

SEO isn't just about linkbacks. Have you submitted an xml sitemap to all of the search engines so that they see all of your pages? |
