It's not even complete enough to rate. The layout has good potential. But you really need to get a better banner/header. One that matches and flows nicely with the rest of the site.
Bust most importantly, you need pictures and graphics that could make us think it's about kern county salons. Right now the website looks like it could be about literally anything. |

I like the slide show and music - trouble is, it took almost 2 minutes to download on my broadband connection. Imagine if I had a dial-up!
The big white ad bar is a big mistake against a black site. You shouldn't have that much advertising above the fold anyway.
I said I liked the slide show - but what has it got to do with Kern County salons? What are kern county salons? Why should I care about kern county salons?
If I want a salon, do I really want to see a site that is black? Does that fit my image of what a salon should be offering? Or would I prefer something light and bright and fresh?
You really need to think about your customers when you are designing sites. Black is great for Harley Davidson and body piercing and digital cameras and sleazy clubs down back alleys and probably lots of other things too - but salons?
Think who your customers are - women probably - and ask yourself what they like (the answer is variations on a theme of pink - reds, lilacs, burgundy, maroon, mauve or yellows - ochre, brown, russet, gold etc). Definitely NOT black or orange for girls, which is exactly what you have chosen. This is not my preference, it's the conclusion of decades of color research!
