Should you add links to your site and how many is enough? Additional Details so if you link up with some ordinary site it will not work but if you link up with sites like paypal, amazon ...
You do not patent a brand name, you patent major ideas which includes new products- you do not copyright a brand name you copyright work such as articles/books.
You need to get a TRADEMARK (R)... in order to do this you must contact an Intellectual Property Law Firm such as Pearne and Gordon LLP.
Funny Side Note: I mentioned you Patent Major Ideas...a man in MA has been trying to 17 years to patent the "power of god" claiming he made them up and possess them.

You can't.

You may hire a lawyer to do a patent search. It'll cost a few thousand dollars depending on how complex the search is. The Patent office will probably reject our application and tell you to apply with the office of Trademarks.

First, posting a question with a title "Please Answer" is guaranteed to limit the number of people who actually read the real question.
Second, a patent applies to an invention or business process, not to a band name. The most likely avenue to protect a band name would be to seek a trademark (you apply to the same office, called the Patent and Trademark Office).
See http://www.uspto.gov/web/trademarks/workflow/start.htm for instructions on "how to start."
FYI, it's extremely likely that you will be unable to obtain a registered trademark for your band name, because other bands are currently using the same name (it's a big country).
Note that protection for original music scores or lyrics comes from "copyright" which is yet another office.
