The second important parameter is the quality of personnel. Since it will finally be a person who will speak about the product, his/her training and his/her execution skills could make or break the entire effort.
Online Marketing pros : Some people call this Mass micro-marketing. The idea is that you can reach out to an extremely large number of your target audience. The cost can potentially be very low.Changing your communication messages is easy.
Online Marketing cons: The probability of your target audience responding to online messages is fairly low. That is one reason, that most companies doing online marketing are forced to run ads for a staggeringly large amount fo times. Apart from this, your are also dependant on the traffic on the website where you are putting the ad. The other main disadvantage, is the security in case your marketing also involves cash transactions. The third main con, could be the speed of internet that is availabe to the surfer. Overall, when the product is new and you need to make sure that a limited but intense communication is need, kiosks are a great option. When you have a product that needs mass contact, Online Marketing is much better option. |

Kiosk advantages: meet people in person, form a relationship, show the product, react to their doubts, sell them in person, get their immediate signature, close the deal
Kiosk disadvantages: you have to wait for them to walk by, its like an impulse decision for the consumer, you normally only meet local people
On line marketing advantages: can reach billions of people, write the script once and millions can read it, can try to answer all their questions at one time. Can show pictures. Your store will operate 24 hours a day, even when you are on vacation.
On line disadvantages: You can't talk to the buyers while they are considering, its impersonal, millions may look but few will buy, if there is something wrong with the technical or sales aspects of the web site you may not learn about it for some time. its impersonal. Your competition can steal your ideas or make their site a little better than yours. You probably have to charge the same price for everyone. If the product or service is complicated, and people come to the site with different backgrounds, its hard to tailor the message to explain the product or service to everyone. |
