Should I respond to a postcard saying someone's holding a parcel for me?
I received a postcard yesterday speaking of a parcel from a "B. Duke". It says to call this 800# from Tuesday through Friday. I don't know of any parcel that I ordered. Has this happened to anyone else?

Check the postcard for any signs of writing or such. If its printed, its most likly junk mail. Also check the stamp. If its a bulk rate, or permit, its most likely junk. You can also go on the Internet and do a backwards phone number search on that phone #. To my memory, parcels from USPS, DHL, UPS, or FedEx, will call or e-mail you (most likely call) and tell you where to pick up the item.

I've received these before. Someone is trying to sell you something and they're using this as a lure. If you call them, you will validate that you are a live person with a valid address and they will have your telephone number. You will be inundated with calls and letters from people trying to sell you everything. Throw it away.

MOST POST CARDS ARE THE SAME AS TELLAMARKETING, JUST REMEMBER NOTHUNG IS FREE, MOST OFTEN WHEN YOU CALL, YOU MUST ATTENED A SIMANAR OF SOME SORT OR PURCHASE SOMTHING EALSE TO RECIVE YOUR FREE GIFT OR PACKAGE,

Not unless it's from Fedex, USPS or UPS--other wise ignore it. Also check the stamp--if it is bulk rate, it's junk mail

Normally if you were to received a parcel, you would receive the parcel itself or you would receive more pertinent information on the postcard, like, addresses, company name, something to give you insight to remember whether or not you have a parcel coming. Giving you only an 800# without telling you even who you are calling is suspicious. I agree with the rest, if no pertinent information is on the card, trash it, its a sales tactic! Best of Luck!

merrybodner
Usually either a scam or a sales technique. If it's not from the post office, UPS, or DHL, ignore it.
