Should i plant first or seek buyers first?
My fren came up with an idea to plant some herbs in Indonesia (since i stay in here) for future commercial purposes. I have no experience at all in agriculture, what action is best to take? Try the planting and see if it works first or find the buyers of the herbs first? I need your suggestion because i can't stay focused with two things at the same time. Thanks in advance.
you should plant first because if you find buyers first, maybe they will lose hope if you haven't succeeded in making them grow. But if you reverse it, even if you don't have any buyers, you can still get benefited from the herbs. It's your choice.

I think you should plant it first, it doesn't grow overnight, and I don't know that your buyers are willing to wait months for it either...

Find the buyers first.

find the buyers first.
talk with them and know how much you'll earn and how much you have to invest, and how to improve the plantation in future.
they can recommend somebody to maintain and look after your plantation also. and u can just keep a watch over them and be hassle free.

You seem to have invited a lot of suggestions which comes back to square one - that is whether to plant first or to sought buyers first?
It looks like you will have to answer that yourself.
I am not agricultural expert although I sell fertilizers. Depending on the type of crop you are refering to, is it possible to sound out to buyers that you are growing such crops and that whether they would like to buy them when it is harvested in "x" months' time. Give them a fixed price. That might help you.

You better see if you can produce the herbs first.
