Depends what age you are, if your still in school then just go and work there, learn the basics of working.
If this is your first job then go for it as well. If your older, try getting a more difficult job, it will pay off, since fast food places arent exactly big moneymakers, they have low pay.

If you need a job, go to work. They have a great management training program, to be serious for a moment. My daughter worked there in College, and still uses some of the concepts today in her present job as hospital CEO. |

Yeah, if you're 16 or 17, after that get a job with potential that won't leave you smelling like grease and dealing with ingrates, and then theres the customers. Its the most unrewarding work there is, low pay, less than educated people on both sides of the counter. Just think about each time you've been a customer, and how you thought that working that job probably sucked, and you would be right. Theres plenty of jobs that would be easy to get after you're 18, just steer yourself in the avenues you want to be in and don't veer from them. If you like media, go that direction, if you like health and medicine, head that way, find a job in the field you want to be in. Even if its not exactly what you want, you work toward it as closely as you can, make contacts and build a foundation. Wendys won't get you anywhere. Good luck. |

Depends on how old you are, if you're in college or high school, and what your educational and career goals are.
Fast food restaurant work is not easy but is demanding. My son worked at McDonald's and at a restaurant and it seemed to me that they work kids to death, expect a lot and pay them little. They always call you on your days off to come in and work and treat you like you have no other life.
I would advise looking for more rewarding and fun work.
How about working at a mall where you could meet others your age?
Or with handicapped adults as a caregiver in their homes (Personal Care Attendant)? My son also did this and found it very rewarding, and he was able to attend college as well. It paid better than fast food.
How about trying to work at a Veterinarians? It'd be fun to work with animals.
Or on a farm?
Fast food work is confining; you have to work in limited space and don't get to walk around much, get no sunshine or fresh air or exercise.
Try to get a job at the zoo, with animals.
Maybe working with kids in a daycare? |
