Thanks so much for all the great feedback on my site. It's funny that I've done SEO for clients and had not really taken the time to do my own. (Too busy doing it for others!) So, I made some changes based on your suggestions. More to come.... but maybe you guys would take another look?

my side some suggestions on your site:
1. you page rank is one. so you have to do increase your page rank in a global way.
2. your site back links also very poor. So you have to do some link building work for you site.
3. Alexa is didn't show your visitors rank, means now you dont have visitors.
4. just update your site.

I would change the color to more exciting
I would change the word Home and make a headline with bold font like impact or veranda
Your blog and website get rankings in search engines and if your site says home that means nothing
But if instead of home you said in headline Proofreading Services, then that is what google will say is important and rank your site based on that keyword or phrase
Always, focus on keywords...I will give you free software to teach you how to know how people search on keywords
Always have a headline first max 17 words is best on what your trying to sell with exciting action verbs
then write a subheadline below headline
then tell a story about problem and relate to customers problems
then offer a solution like your services, price guarantee, guarnteed time delivery or whatever
give a free report
and most important you need to set up an email autoresponder to capture names and email address
why? because most people will never buy first visit, but if you give a FREE report in exchange for name and email, then you can sell to them for the rest of your life
send timely content, like heres my latest post on my blog go to my blog , etc

Your website looks real good but there are some suggestions I would like to make.
1. Please edit your description and titles. They should contain keyword rich content. This means you have to make sure the targeted keywords to be placed in your titles and description to get your website indexed by the search engine spiders.
2. Build more related regional back links..in your case build as many US back links as possible. I think this link would helps you to start building related links http://www.web-directories.ws/
3. Continuously update the content in your website to get the search engine spider crawl your website to increase your search engine position.
4. Socialize your website by bookmarking into many social communities and Networks.
