I work for Tesco and am not happy about the spice girls getting paid £1million each for doing the stupid add, we work are backsides off all year the staff should see some of that money Tesco are making. and customers could get better deals |

You are talking about Tesco.
You wouldn't be talking about Tesco if they hadn't used the Spice Girls.
That is why they used the Spice Girls - to get people talking about Tecso. |

I agree with you how many celebs do their own shopping, not many, same goes for Morrisons LuLu in Morrison's I don't think so, Denise Van Outen trudging the Fields for the best veg
not in the real world. |

I'm not a big fan of the Spice Girls so I think they pretty desparate to do a Tesco ad. Tesco obviously makin too much profit!
Having said that I think the ad is quite funny! |
|

I don't believe it!
 |
All the recent Tesco ads have had famous people in them, so why not the Spice Girls?
Other than the fact they'd make me want to shop somewhere else of course. |

Tesco have too many customers and have discovered there is not enough PG Tips for everyone who shops there. so to try and scare off some of the customers to ASDA who have a glut of PG Tips and some Yorkshire Tea they ahve employed the spice girls |

Don't fecking talk to me about the amount Tescos spend on money draining drivel expecting a few old brasses pretending they shop there when really they get the nanny to shop at the local expensive deli.
Meanwhile, Tescos pay 7.11 an hour and expect you to do 12 hour shifts-they get the hump if you stop for water on a hot day.
Forgive me for not having any joy for the millionaires Spice girls or the 1 pound in every 8 spent goes to Tesco...
but not the workers. |

All of the major supermarkets use celebs to promote their store, so really tescos is no different.
I have listed some supermarkets and the celebs they have used to promote the shop. I would list more but i cant remember all of the celebs names!
Tesco - Spice Girls
Asda - Ian Wright
M&S - Twiggy, Antonio Bandares
Morrisons - Denise Van Outen |

Who did what in tesco's with some spices then...? was it legal or not.
I prefer Asda as it right near my house and next to the pub.... |

I think the Spice Girls need Tesco more than Tesco need them. I just wish they would go away to be honest I find the supremely annoying and patronising.
Having said that whoever put the ad (and all of the other Tesco ads for that matter) did a good job. |

This I must see. There are some comments on Teletext today.
In advertising if people are remembering the ad and talking about it - job done! And well done! |

The problem is that both Tesco and the Spice Girls have too much money for their own good. Either of them don't need each other except for the exposure and it's the association of the two together that will genrate them more business. People see the Spice Girls in a Tesco ad and it invokes in the viewers mind, the idea to go shop there. Big stars shopping in a common supermarket make the Spice Girls seem more affordable and therefore- worthwhile so that'll be another 50 million albums sold! |

i think it is to help promote the spice girls album. it's not the spice girls that are helping to promote tesco. |

i believe that tesco played their latest advert very safe using the Spice Girls.
You look on the internet, read newspapers or look on the front page of magazines and who is there....The Spice Girls.
everyone is talking about them and the reunion that they are doing, in todays society people are interested and influenced by the celebrity world.
Also the advert is humerous which makes people who are not interested in the Spice Girls actually interested in Tescos.
Overall very smart advert. |
