There are many sites on the internet that you can advertise for free. You can get a domain name and a one page website for 1.99 for the first year. Go to yahoo domains. Hope this is helpful.

my father owns plumbing company, i did one page site and market it on yahoo local on specific areas he can go do the work.. worked good..

Isn't there a local coupon mailer....in my neck of the woods it's called a Val-pak - just an envelope stuffed with coupons and flyers from local business.

Also, advertise in the local papers in the contractor classifieds section. After you drum up some business, then you will be able to afford the Yellow Pages.

Writing a classified ad to sell your product isn't as hard as you might think, if you spend time researching effective copy writing strategies.

Here are a few tips to consider;

1. Never try to sell expensive items from a small classified ad. Use the two step method. Request the reader visit your site for free information or email an auto responder address for more details where you will respond with longer ad copy to effectively sell your product.

I would suggest that you also check with your local chamber of commerce - perhaps you are already a member. I recently came across an article on the web that addressed the benefits of this - the link should appear below. Networking I believe in your case is the key. don h, the best way is to stay local at first (friens, family, any contacts you have)! Word-of-mouth will take care of the rest! This is a safe way ,but can take long! When your capital is higher advertise in a news paper, there you can but in the best description of your service! You have to start small to make it big. And the internet site sounds like a good idee aswell! Good luck
