Telemarketers?
I kind of fell into a telemarketing job. I really hate it (calling all day, mean people, the stereotype). I really want to make it work though, does anyone have any advice on how to be successful? Additional Details Okay... we all know that telemarketers are right up there with car dealers and the IRS. But... any good tips out there?
ps: i usually don't answer my phone for numbers that i don't know, but if i do answer a sales call, i'm always quick and polite. i always wish them a great day. life is tough... may as well not add to it.
Have a positive attitude , remember that most people do not want to be bothered ,so do not take anything personal . Telemarketing is usually based on results , so as soon as you know the call is NFG ... move on to the next .
The more success you will have the Happier you will be .
Enjoy your breaks ,and when working , be the best you can be it will pay off .
(There are much worse jobs out there .)

Yeah dont tell the person what they are going to buy! They do it to me all the time,'I'm just infoming you that you wont be paying line rental ever again' grrr that annoys me. Simply tell that that you are a telmarketer and today you have an oppurtunity to buy.....

Nope.. I can't stand getting those calls. If I want to buy the crap I will do it on my own. I don't need somebody interrupting my day to sell me crap that I don't want!!
