Most of my stuff is from sony but lately I have realized, they are surely making money using their brand name instead of cutting-edge products.
Other companies also have similar quality products and those are less expensive...
So if you are the person who enjoys by buying brand-name, you would strongly feel about sony but to be honest you can get better deals with other companies...
Sony keep launching products with new features, even though they could have done it all together in one version. So they kind of force you upgrade and you feel bad when you get to know price of a product which was recently launched and you bought two months back, is fallen by 20-30% or more...
These are dirty tactics adopted by product companies (by it Apple, Sony, Microsoft etc)... Go for a product which is complete in terms of technologies and features etc..

It's my belief that Sony no longer puts out a good product.
Their quality control is terrible, and they are overpriced.
They are trading on the good name that they built up years ago, but as more people get bad products from them their good reputation is quickly vanishing.
Even if they correct their quality problems today, I believe that they have already damaged their name in the eyes of many consumers and it is going to take a lot of years to repair that.

Sony no longer creates state of the art electronics products. But it remains a major player in India because of branding and advertising. Its been quite a long time since Sony introduced something cutting edge like the Trinitron in India.
But as far as product quality and after sales service is concerned Sony does not leave much to be desired.
