What's a good website i can sell something besides ebay?

As you may have realized, traditional targeting or local marketing has changed rapidly. Don't take my word for it, Try this:

Type: BMW on Google Local, Yahoo Local
You will see a store listings, choose one of the Store Listing, you see a business page, with 4 ads on the page and links to other dealers.

Type BMW on www.thelocalindex.com ( it gives local businesses a free online store local marketing)

You will see BMWâ€™s, click one, and click go to store. You will see their Whole Inventory Online. The Site is targeted to local shoppers, so it's pretty effective.

They are in beta, and are currently adding Google Maps for directions to each store, Coupons for discounts to customers, a URL to direct customers to your store (exampleâ€ www.thelocalindex.com/ Your Store Name) and alot more including You tube videos, Slide: Slide shows, the ability to share on Myspace, Facebook, Flickr.
Local Business events, networking events and a whole lot more.

The Local Index, is the best resource for local businesses because they promote top local businesses via Radio, Television and Printed Media.

The Goal of this site is to reintroduce the concept of local businesses to consumers as the hip, hot new thing. Instead of Pizza Hut, Walmart, Circuit City and Etc.

Try Craig's List. It is local to your area but works well.

The ASIA biggest buying and selling website is http://www.Alibaba.com . Infact it is and will be Better, Safer, than Ebay.. No1 Growing Website on planet.

CraigsList.org is the obvious answer, since it's free to list items for sale, and is often effective (I've purchased a car, furniture, a treadmill, and many other items using CraigsList, and I've also sold and given away may items there. Perhaps most important, I met my wife through a CraigsList personal ad.)

Amazon.com has both auctions and a "marketplace" where you can sell certain types of items; it's best for selling books, music, and videos.

There are many specialized web sites to sell specific kinds of items. For selling collectible LPs, try GEMM. For selling domain names, try Sedo.
