Have a good product and tell everyone you know about it and advertise/market shamelessly any way you can think of! |

Hello Morticia,
You would love this new site I found for social and business networking at Direct Matches. It’s free to join and advertise in this business directory. You can even win cash and prizes for the best profile. You can network first and reach out to people for business purposes after meeting them and getting acquainted which is the more acceptable way these days rather than blatantly posting hype.
You’re invited to post a free profile on my site. Many serious entrepreneurs will view your contact and business information.

Email marketing is very affordable, if you send your site to 1 Million people who fit within your target market you will convert people into customers!
If you'd like to talk more about it check out our site www.professional-lists.com and contact us to get more details.
Also you should be sure you have SEO done on your site and you could invest in google adwords and/or banner exchanges from similar sites.
You should be sure you've entered your site in any directory which is releavant and that you've used www.selfpromotion.com |

Without knowing what your site is about, I would have to say use the pay-per-click search engines. The main one is Google's Adword program of course. |

Creating valuable unique content in to your website is one of the best ways to make your site visible.
The following are only some of the strategies you need.
1.Provide credible, original content in as many forms as possible.
Original content is important. Users may come to your site once, but to keep them coming back you've got to have fresh original content.
2.Provide valuable, timely information to the user, not lots of data.
Web sites should be updated regularly. Stale Web sites say "been there, done that." For the information to be valuable it should be well-edited. For external links include only the best sites with concise descriptions. For internal content be like a magazine editor, don't rush to publish mediocre or incomplete articles.
3.Custom-tailor the information to user preferences.
One of the Web's strengths is the volume of information available. That is also one of its weaknesses. Sites that offer customization allow the user to filter the content they see. The future of the Web are "one-to-one" Web sites. These automated, database-driven sites adapt the content, advertising, and even the look to individual users. New technologies allow webmasters to create dynamic, interactive, and adaptive Web sites.
4.Easy to read
Make your pages as easy to read as possible. Black text on a white is the easiest to read. I've seen some nearly impossible to read pages that use backgrounds the same shade as the text
5.Interactive
Good interactivity engages the user and makes your site memorable. After original content, the second most important trait a Web site should have is interactivity. The Web is an interactive hypermedia communications medium that your Web site should reflect. Sites that involve the user and have a sense of fun or adventure will get more hits, and can charge more for ad space.
6.Well-organized
Balance the number of levels (the degree of hyperization) with page length to minimize scrolling and display time.
7.Dominate a subject area
Don't duplicate a list when you can point to it. Leverage other people's work to reduce your workload. Let others who specialize in a particular topic keep their list up to date for you. On the other hand, don't make lists that point to lists ad infinitum, seek out the meat of the site and point directly to the article or resource. Many sites on the Web are just lists that someone else has already done. |

If you want to really draw attention to your site - you need to have not just one way to get your site out there - you need to have a strategy. That means a combination of ways that dovetail together.
For starters make sure that your search has been optimized for a top (or at least as top as possible) a search engine ranking.
You need to find sites that are complimentary and not competitive and get exposure their (articles, links, etc.) with a link then back to your site.
You also must have an emotionally compelling message that makes people say, "I gotta find out more of that" to "I gotta HAVE that!" This means you either must learn how to write emotionally compelling copy - or hire someone else to do it for you.
You can do article marketing through article directory sites like http://www.ezinearticles.com and http://www.isnare.com http://www.contentdesk.com and a lot of others.
You can have a blog to draw in traffic. Each time to add a new entry to your blog - make sure that your ping your blog at http://www.pingomatic to rank it higher in the search engine blogs.
Have an affiliate program. That means that other people send info about you out to their database lists because you are giving them a percentage of the sales that come from their lists.
Then it also makes sense to do offline marketing. I suggest you do some kind of promotion - maybe a contest or a publicity stunt to draw attention to it and get media coverage. Good media coverage will drive skads of visitors and prospective customers to your site. This will create "buzz" and excitement around your site and products. You may want to take a look at "The Anatomy of Buzz" by Emanuel Rosen.
But your efforts need to be co-ordinated. So they all work together to push the primary goal of getting more people (maybe sales too) to your site. A small example of co-ordinated? Once you've been on TV (through the media) you put "as seen on TV" on everything - that will add big credibility. When you're on Internet Radio your say - I have a special on my website right now. It's a dovetailing effect.
As a marketing mentor I help by clients put together strategic marketing plans like this and then give them the step by step into they need to implement them. It's so much fun because I can see all my clients succeeding more each week we meet.
So look do not use just one idea to marketing but a handful of them that all work together to build energy and momentum. Marketing and building buzz is kind of like getting a plane off the ground. It takes a lot of energy to do it - but once it's up there it's a little easier to heep it up there. You just have to make sure that you don't bly the plane into a mountain.
Hope this is helpful to you.
All the best,
Denise Michaels
