The major search engines (Google, Yahoo! and MSN) have their search split in two areas: Organic and Paid.
The paid area is Google Adwords, Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture) and MSN adCenter. Basically, you advertise based on keyword that you want to target and you are charged each time someone clicks your ad.
The organic route is where most people want to be, as it is free traffic, it just takes effort to get there. Once you understand what keywords you want to target, you want to work on some good sites to link to you and that will either cost your money or getting your to write a great article or tip that people find useful enough to link to. Controversy is always a good way too and is referred to as "Link Bait" in the SEO industry.

Research the keywords you are looking to rank for and aim for a specific term which you can realistically rank highly for.
Then optimise your pages content (title tag, text, links etc) for the selected terms and build as many links as possible to your site containing these keywords in the anchor text wherever possible. |

One of the fastest ways is to write about your site on BLOGGER. You get blog and ping your site which gets it recognised by blog publishers. Your site can get registered quickly.
Also, listing your item as a store auction on ebay is another way to get fast results. I've been doing well with this startegy. |

Why don't you wait for some time until they get it posted on Google?
Are you sure you have searched for your site well?If you have a post or something,search for the title or a part of a text on your site.
