Hi, here I give you some ideas to promote your site for free.
Frist submit it to the search engines for free just go to http://www.submitexpress.com also make sure you use their free web tools to create Meta Tags for you site, if you don't know what keywords to use, there is a tool that will show you some of the most searchable keywords, and all this for free. Remember to do updates, and submit your site at least once every month.
Also if your site have RSS or Atom feeds just sibmit it to blog and RSS directories for free, go to my site for a free list of this directories at http://luisgalarza.blogspot.com
Another free tool that you can use is http://www.thunderlist.com/register/?rid=c1622267a128d48813161 this will help you create a huge mailing list for free (NO SPAM).
A good way to get your site visible by top prospects is by joining business forums, and add your site and a little description on your siganture line or file. This can help you get real prospects. The more business forums your join the more exposure your site will get. Look for forums at http://www.dejanews.com also you can check Yahoo.com and Google.com.

There are plenty of PPC (pay per click) programs. The 2 biggest, I think, are Google & Yahoo!.
A couple free resources – check out the sources box for links:
1) Create a blog pertaining to your field
2) Use Yahoo! 360, Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups
Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission. We use ShareASale & pay out $25 to our affiliates once a sale is made & ShareASale takes another $5. $30 a sale is a pretty small price to pay for us. And I'm sure most programs like that allow you to set the commission rate (no point in your commission being half the price of a sale for you!)

There is something called a "meta tag". It is within the html code of the website. It will direct people to your site based on the information in the meta tag. A good way to find out what you might want to put in your meta tags is by going to someones site that you like and want yours to be similar to. Click on View, then click source and you will see their meta tags. This will give you ideas of what to add to your html code. The more descriptive meta tags you have, the more time your site will come up when people search for something like your site. Good luck. |

A good way to start is maybe making a online team, and having current users join it. Have them/or make them, banners to put up on sites they visit, and forums. Have them tell their friends and tell people you know as well.
