Traffic like its name suggest that there will be alot of incoming work and some of the work are handled by the same creative person.

They will coordinate the creatives and assign them the work. They have to have wide understanding of the creative processes and deal with the servicing who would all want their work to be done. They negotiate with servicing and creative on the timeline. Some of them also deal with third party suppliers like photographers, studios and etc. Some traffic handles the production estimates and also deal with production managers - they will get the materials ready and done for servicing.

when an add is placed or a hording is placed on a location....expected no. of people looking at the add is called traffic.... so we have high traffic area and low..... and accordingly each client makes the pmt.... or revenue is generated.

Traffic refers to the placement of advertising in respective media. It can vary as much as the calendar. Basically, traffic specifies which ad runs where on which dates. So there are three variables ... which ad (that can vary by date, by market, or by campaign) ... which dates (can vary by date, by market and by campaign) ... and by location (all of the above variables apply).
At our advertising agency, we have one person responsible for traffic. She/he is responsible for informing the media regarding which ad runs in which media for which dates. That sounds relatively simple, but in practice it is not. If you have seven clients starting campaigns at seven different times, rotating 21 different commercials in 6 different media, as you might guess, it can get very complicated. And if you make one mistake on one start date in one market (easy to do) you get screamed at.
Hopefully I have given you some insight into the question. I promise you, I have understated the answer considerably.

when a ad agency have more than two clients for the same product's launch campaign in the market then the ad agency has to decide that which will give more advantage to the product . so the increase no. of clients for the same campaign is known as traffic in advertising.
