Hi without spending a fortune on advertising,you should put your ad in any online free ads website,search in Yahoo search engine then add your business description and name website etc,do it in as many free ads as possible after a few days certain searches will bring your website up.
Also submit your site to as many search engines as possible,however this can take upto 3 months if they choose to put you on their pages.
If you are looking at paid advertising then there are companies you can pay to get your site to the top of your category.GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS.

Have something valuable to say/sell that is in some way distinct from what others offer. Then get in a search index and you'll be found.

You need to know your market first. Target your advertising to that market. Just advertising everywhere will not do much to help. Find out where people to go to get similar products to what you are selling. Find out what they search for and build a site around the keyword phrases they enter. Make a blog to target the keywords people use to find similar products to yours.

Once you have your blog use socialmarker.com to help get it indexed quickly with the search engines. Make a short video and submit it to as many video sites that you can. google will then index it and it will be in the search engines within 24 hours. You do not need to wait 3 months to get sites on google like others tell you. I get sites on google's first page within 24 hours whenever I want.

On your blog give quality content as search engines love content. Just trying to get people to buy is old school and doesn't work.

Use Pay Per Click advertising to test your ads. Once you know which ones work best, start posting in forums, on google groups, yahoo groups etc.

Don't just advertise without knowing which ads work best and the only way to test your ads to see which ones work is to use PPC first.

Do all the above. I will mention about writing articles. It provide good exposure for your website & an opportunity to link it to your site. Search engines are fairly quick to pick up articles.

post on forums, join myspace and facebook or other social networking sites, submit to search engines, write blogs

Make a Myspace page with info about your company and a link to your website. Go to "groups" and do a search for business related groups and add those to your account, it generates traffic. Myspace is the 9th most used website in the internet I heard.

There are lots of ways to market your website. I will concentrate on email marketing and leads generated through your website. For one you would need to put a squeeze page on your website, where you have people signing in and that form is connected to a autoresponder like aweber or getresponse.

Second would be to get a list, and market it using some mailing software, but this involves a lot of risk like emails landing up as Spam or Junk. But if your interested one place you can check out is fxstyle.net you can buy some 238 million email id's, but be prepared for heavy work required in sending out these emails and deliverability problems.

Third and most efficient in this context would be to get a third party, and send your mails through them. They have their own lists, all you have to do is compose your mail and you can send to about 2.3 million emails/people a day.There are quite a few categories of mailing lists that you can select from like, business, computers, internet marketing etc.

While your doing either one of the three steps listed above, also search for forums related to your site on google. Register and actively participate in these forums everyday
