Once you get your site up you need to build inbound links.
Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:

Use print media, give your website address and advertise one only item to create want (at least 1/8 page 1/4 is best).
The best print media is one that targets a particular demographic group that would be favorable to your product. The second best way to advertise is in classified ads |

I think paid search is another good way to drive traffic to your site. Paid search is the sponsored ads on a search engine results page (SERP) that show along the top and right side.
