8D | What are some fundraising idea's? |
I need some fund-raising idea's that are appropriate for grade 8's to run, and that DO NOT involve food. The proceeds go towards our grade 8 grad trip, which we might not have =(. But if I can get some really good fundraiser idea's to prove that we can lower the cost of the trip, we might get one.

Now with the holidays coming up you can do Halloween grams. You buy some candy and sell them on campus for so much the kids get to send them to their friends and you can make a profit.
You can also have penny wars.. where each class sets out a jar and they try to put change in the jar the class with the most money wins a pizza party, the twist is that any one can sabotage the jar by putting pennies, or dollars in it when that happens the money has to be taken out and that class has to start again. the moneycollectedd is then put away toward the trip minus the money it costs to buy a few pizzas for the winning class.
You can also sell flowers or balloons grams.
My daughters ASB class sells candy. They give each child so many candy bars (that they buy at smart and final or costco for cheaper) that they are reponsible to sell either at home or at school they sell for a dollar each and they make a big profit. |

You should see if your class could do a play or something. You could do one that your school already has all the costumes for. You'd make some money off of it considering all the parents would go, you could charge like 2-5 bucks a ticket. And you could do a pumpkin carving contest where each homeroom carves or decorated a pumpkin and you put your coins or dollars in a jar in front of the one you like and the one with the most money wins. You could also get people to drop off there Aluminum cans or collect them and when you have a bunch take them to the recycling center. |

you could have a yard sale have people bring in 1 or 2 items each to sell
have a car wash I know that goes over huge here and is also fun and busineses love to join in
have a carnival for the younger grades ware groups of students in your class come up and run inventive games charge a dollar for 10 tickets
another one I can remember doing in school is talk to your teachers see if you can get a picture of them when they were a baby you stick them to a board and people buy a doller ticket to have the chance to guess what 10 pictures are what 10 teachers the student with the most right wins a neat little prize

What about gift baskets with toys in them? The kids can put them together. Or you can put together a play or a talent show and charge admission. Maybe a car wash? A raffel? |

Make a soccer championship, let the team players pay to assist the championship and then buy a pizza or something for the winning team, you could also start out by washing some cars as well, you know community services are always good to make fundraisers work, the i would recommend to go to a travel agency, which they sell packs for trips a pack is cheaper than just one ticket, i hope this can help you! Another way is the page i left, you can sell stuff online too!! Just a thought. |

go to abcfundraising.com they have an awesome scratch card fndraiser I use it every year at my church and you don't have to sell anything and donors don't have to kick out a whole lot of money. |

have you seen texting? there is an online company that will set up a text to win campaign for you for free. go to 2du.com or 2dumedia.com. you can set up an account for free. if you call they can tell you how to set up the fundraiser. It is using the cell phone and when people call your special number they get a prize. You can talk to local businesses to offer the prizes. Anything will do. There are so many things that you can do! Depends on how supportive your parents are, and how is school spirit and student participation? You could have a big fundraiser - from a catalog, you could plan a dinner/dance event for all your 8th grade family & friends, have a raffle & live or silent auction there. It is getting close to Christmas, you can do a Christmas tree lot, you can have school spirit items made and sell them at school & at your school functions - back to school night, open house, all others & sporting and music events, don't forget the front office. Try to plan events for the holidays - Valentines Dance, Christmas dinner party. Get your community involved - get donations from your local businesses, either money or raffle/auction items. I do a lot of fund raising for non-profit, have done it for years. You can make beads.
All you need is waterdown glue, paper, and paint and a toothpick.
1) tear the paper into thin strips
2) water down the glue (white glue) until it gets a little bit watery.
3) dip in the paper and roll the paper so it looks like a bead
4) poke a hole in it using the toothpick
5)let it dry
6) paint
7) put in on a fishing line
8) tie it
9) sell it |
