1) make sure you have a GREAT name for the company, if not change it, it's not too late.
2) Word of mouth is perfect but to make it effective you must always, every single time ask for refferals.
3) Flyers. Go door to door, leave themon windshields, etc. Not a full sheet of paper, cut them in half.

Go around to real estate companies and introduce yourself. A lot of them need people to clean vacant homes after people move out. It's pretty cheap to make fliers and business cards yourself. |

Put some posters up on every bulletin board you can find - like in grocery stores, community centers, senior citizen centers, thrift stores, churches, etc. If there is a community newspaper or Thrifty Nickel, maybe you could run a really cheap little ad - just a few words. You may drop a few fliers off at your neighbor's homes or slip a few under the windshield wipers in grocery store parking lots.... Is there a local radio station that allows ads??? And, yes, keep encouraging your clients to tell their friends - word of mouth will definitely help! Good Luck! |

Guerrilla marketing is your best bet. Get the word out anywhere you can and make sure your target market is getting the message. You need people with enough money that they will pay others to clean for starters. You need to pitch quality of work and ability to be trusted as your key points. Go door to door with cards and flyers in the areas and introduce yourself. Offer buy one get one free, a super first time discounted rate, or anything to make them try you.
If you really want to strike it big, ask customers about other services you could do, or find the horrible thing that nobody else will do and do it. |

Find a graphic designer or something with a photoshop like program and make cool signs, flyers and cards...hang them up, pass them around...word of mouth is very effective as well. |

Can't beat Word of Mouth. However you have to have plenty of satisfied clients andASK them to talk about you with the people they know. Advertising 101...Gota spend or commit to spend money to make money. Try something unusual...buy an ad in your local movie theater. |
