Since your fundraiser is going to fall before Christmas I suggest you focus on ideas that have to do with Christmas. Following are some ideas that have been quite profitable in the past when I served on a Policy Council Committee for the Federal Government to help raise money for Head Start.
Cookie Jars (you use mason jars and layer the dry ingredients into the jar and make a decorative lid by cutting cloth to cover the lids and tie some ribbon with the recipe to make the cookies)
Local Business will also donate gift baskets and/or gift certificates dependent upon the cause for the fundraiser. Examples of businesses that are excellent focus points are local restaurants, stores such as Bath and Body Works, Walmart, local grocery stores. As for the gift baskets, these can be made by yourself and raffled off as well as the gift certificates.
Local business not related to the above are also inclined to donate money for the cause because it is a tax write-off. Also, local churches are inclined to donate money for a good cause as well.

Here are some ideas:: bake sale, school auction, ask your principal if you can have "dress-up" day & charge the students $1.00 (or whatever is reasonable), car wash, set up a couple of tables at the school or where you can & sell items that students made/created with wood working or arts & crafts. Get the students to donate home materials & have a rummage sale. Find out if you can get students, faculty, & parents involved & throw like a spaghetti dinner or pot-luck. Movie & pop-corn day.
Try to alternate different event days at school & charge an admission price. This is a little something to help get you started. Good Luck! |
