What kind of site do you have? Is it blog? If it's a blog you should try www.blogrush.com it's free and is gaining momentum lately.
I would also suggest investing a little money into pay-per-click with google. Advertise on the content network ads of sites similar to yours. These clicks can be as low as 1cent each. If you advertise on Yahoo, you can get $100 free in advertising money (just deposit $30) |

You should also use social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Del.icio.us - they sometimes will bring random traffic but they will get your site properly indexed by google, yahoo, etc. I "stumbled" a new URL last week and it was on Google in 30 min (surprising)!
For easy ways to submit to these site, you can try OnlyWire (www.onlywire.com), which submits to multiple sites at once or an application like The Web 2.0 Toolbar (www.web20toolbar.com) which will submit to the page you are currently on.
Do you have a blog? If you have a product site you should start a blog to help drive traffic. If you can post frequently ( 1 - 3 x per week) about the industry you are in, it will help establish that you site has fresh content. I always recommend installing wordpress (wordpress.org) on your server but you can also use a free hosted service like wordpress.com or blogger.com. |

you can promote your site on any and all marketing materials and promotional items. You can submit the address to different search engines. Google has a great program called analytics and you can do a pay-per-click campaign and track your overall traffic, where visitors are coming from, what websites are referring them to you, etc. |
