Word of mouth is an effective and cheap way to advertise. You can now use technology to do the same
Do you have a customer who can recommend your business? If so get on this newly launched site called http://www.servicedomino.com.
With the different categories there...you benefit from the already available traffic.
Also as the database grows...you get traffic directed to your listing and category....as customers look for recommended businesses. Recommendations are the best form of ads arent they?
The basic listing is free as long as you are recommended by a customer. You get a subdomain
e.g: http://josed.servicedomino.com
free and you can also have them host your website under that subdomain. |

There are many ways to advertise. TV is great, but costs millions. Other ways are Direct Mail (junk mail), Radio spots, Print Advertising (newspapers and magazines), Electronic Advertising (e-mail and banner ads, etc.), Billboards, trade shows and events, and word-of-mouth. Which one you use depends on your budget (how much money you have) and the best way to reach who you want to sell your stuff to. |

Advertise online. This is almost free. Here are my suggestions:
Try submitting your url to as many sites as possible. Also, try to join forums, which have similar interests as your site offers. This will also give you the exposure you wanted. Try to write articles about your site (products/services) and submit them to different sites that cater to article submission. The people who get to read them will become interested with your site. Gaining traffic takes time. And you have to wait for at least six months to see the actual results.

I went to school for Brodacasting and there are many ways to advertise depending on the funding that you have but also what you are trying to advertise. The newspaper is a great way to advertise locally, we have yahoo groups that will allow you to advertise on county bullitin boards (online), printing fliers, and perhaps a spot on the radio may do the trick. I know that creating your own website is a great way to become known, anyhow I hope that this helps = ) |

You have to think about who you are selling this to, where they will be listening or looking etc. Somewhere good to get their attention. Then depending on your budget you can make your way. cjd. |
