Having a PR1 when searching for "club John network" is understandable, however, if no one knows your domain name or whatever, your current SEO metatags are insufficient to bring net surfers to your website when any search query is more generic in nature, i.e., video, music, etc.
Here's a tutorial from Google.com which should be helpful in setting up effective metatags to draw more web traffic to your blog.
Placement of Metatags:
A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.
The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one's goods and services.
And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Some key things that I have come to notice in promoting a website, or SEO
1. Content, make sure that were you are promoting at is intune with the content that you are hosting on your site.
2 Keywords , Google and search engines like it, eat up websites with a heavy keyword concentration in a topic that its searchers are looking for. In other words you could create articles about your site and post them in sites like EzineArticles.com and just write about your site(make sure you are writing something helpful don't just promote your site directly) and this is free and legal and you create back links to your site that Google can eat up and get you ranking up there.
3. Viral marketing, step two is gearing towards this but there's more. You have to have links to your site everywhere understand. RSS is one of the tools that website owners are getting into and you probably all ready are. But partner up with people and offer to recommend them if they recommend you. Get involved with the internet as a whole and you will be surprised how much it will help you grow.

Hello Friend there can be many ways to promote a website basically firstly if u are having friends with u Just try this
Goto www.conduit.com make a toolbar of your website there by signing up there. Just spread a word of it by downloading it to computers of your friends and One thing more you also get paid for each installation i.e
Promotion = money
And it worked for me |
