What are tesco's marketing objectives?

To take over the world, and ensure everyone lives next door to a 24 hour Tesco superstore! MWAHAHAHA!

They seem to want to dominate the whole genre of 'supermarket' in my opinion.

They seem not to care about smaller communities where the town thrives on small independant shops and just simply want to take over regardless!

But....thats just my personal hatred of such things!

Have a look at these websites, they give a little insight into the marketing strategies of major retailers like Tesco and M&S

One of the main points noted is about Tesco giving clubcard points on petrol and other sundries to get people to shop there more, loyalty schemes are becoming more popular as this tends to make people want to return time and again...Boots is another one that uses a loyalty scheme but theirs is far superior to Tescos as it gives points based on every pound spent and you feel like you actually have accrued cash to spend...

Our money in their pockets?

To sell as much as they can as cheaply as they can. Making a profit while maintaining prices the people can afford, and to make the whole shopping experiance as friendly as possible so customers will return. Trying to cater for the needs of all shoppers to maintain and enhance the number of people who shop there.

World domination!!!!!!

all of those other answers are either business objectives or plain dumb. Their marketing objectives are how they communicate about themselves in the market place - its not about opening stores, but rather how they tell you they are open and how they intend to keep you as a customer.

I dont live in the UK, so cant formally help, but hopefully the above definition should help you stay focused

Every little helps - help customer be happy.

Deliver on their customer promises:
- good prices
- customers can get what they want
- clear aisles
- no queues
- great staff
