Keep doing what you're doing. Maybe have a heart-to-heart with the boss that starts something like this...
"You know I've worked hard for this company for 4 years and I really value my position. I aim to be the best there is in this business and....." and then just state all of the things you do to be a valuable player! That will let him know you're in it for the long haul. Bosses love that. |

damn ur in a really funny situation. You're so good at your job that if you go to a better job there's nobody to take your current position. To that I say, you must awesome at your job. I wouldn't be too obvious that you want the promotion but i suggest looking for other people to fill the position and putting them in the boss' attention. That way you might be promoted. |

my goodness, you don't need I promotion as I say.
You are the best on that position and no better man can replace you. just keep doing your thing.
but looking it in an administrative point of view, a few years on that company, you will be promoted. How? you will be in a higher position and you will train those who will replace you. |
