Well looks everybody else was thinking my answers as well to your question... I like how George Carlin put it.
Just like the buisness world all buisnessmen completely full of sh*t, just the worst kind of low life criminal co*ksuckers you could ever run into piece of sh*t buisnessman, and the proof of it is they dont trust each other they dont trust one another when the buisness man sits down to negotiate a deal the buisnessman thinks the other guy is gonna screw him out of his money so he's gotta do what he can to screw the other guy a little bit harder and a little bit faster, and he always has to do it with a smile on his face you know that bullshit buisnessman smile and if your a customer whoa you get that really big smile you know that real big smile as the buisnessman carefully positions himself directly behind the customer and begins to unzips his pants and proceeds to service the account im serviceing the account this customer needs service now you know what they mean "we specialize in customer service" whoever came up with the phrase let the buyer beware was probably bleeding from the asshole. But thats buisness, thats buisness. |

Be tight with money, use it sparingly unless it is to be used for advertising and marketing. Get a website, design a basic site yourself. Buy dummies guide to website building includes free cd, work from home. Avoid premises which incurr rent c/tax. and other over head inc staff.. Design your own letter heads / stationary using any word processing packages. Buy conqueror paper from any good stationers or look in Exchange and Mart business section for very reasonable printing packages and leaflets. Do the work yourself and save save save. HSBC (my business bank) offer 18 months free banking at the moment and they also do a business loan guarantee.
Qualifications are good but the only qualification in business is your own mind and business budgeting. |

The only qualifications I should say you need is a degree from the university of life with a deploma from the school of hard knocks and a City and Guilds in Common sense And you'll be fine!
Also follow thses rules to get you through...
1. Only work "Half Days"
2. Just choose the 12 hours a day you want to work.
3. The ability to enjoy the fact that you are your own boss when all your employees get paid for holidays and you get no wages unless you work!
Plus the ability to smile as you pay towards their NI contributions for them too...
Joking apart, good luck if you decide to go for it! |

What kind of business?
If you want to be your own boss then you don't really need qualifications - just knowledge of your trade, information regulating traders and money to invest! |
