SEO is simply three steps:
1. Write and publish compelling content
2. Promote that content (e.g. articles, PR, backlinks, etc)
3. Attempt to use good semantics on your site

I will gladly recommend two links to you. One is free and the other is paid. I use them both for two of my websites and they work well.
I am getting between 30 - 50 visitors a day at each site and I'm able to get sign-ups and some sales from my efforts as well.

To get more traffic and better ranked keywords for organic search will take some time and energy, but it's not as difficult as one might think. Some of the fundamentals include on-page optimization (i.e. putting your keywords in title tags, H1 header tags, meta keywords, meta descriptions, and body copy) and off-page seo (i.e. link building).
But, the most effective way to get higher traffic is to have really great content that people want to link to. To do this you should have a blog, be active in the online community for your industry, and participate in social networking.

For getting high traffic you need to apply high efforts. Do link building, article submission, forum discussion, comments posting in blogs and etc... process which we all apply in SEO for any website.
Start blogging if you can. Try to post with fresh content and add attractive information. |

The best way to build a strong presence in the search engines is to build a quality site. Use proper optimization techniques, social media tactics and viral marketing. Always strive to get links from authority sites in your niche. Most of all, build a great site so people will WANT to link to you.
That is seo in a nutshell but it's a very complicated process.
