I am not doing anything for the McCann family. As much as I feel for the poor girl I have no desire to contribute to the McCann family. What I am doing is looking after my children in the proper manner. |

Absolutely nothing. Why should I?
I want her to be found make no mistake about it. But sadly I think she is already dead and that they won't find her. I hope I'm wrong.
An added though:
If the press never made a big deal about it then the public would do nothing. All this question really shows to me is the power of the press. |

I am sorry to say I don"t think any more publicity will help find her now.
What more can be done?
I hope of course that she will be found. |

Admirable as your actions are there is one point I would like to make. What about the other thousands of children who go missing every day? Is anyone doing charity swims and setting up non profit websites for them? With the ensuing 'soap' of Madeline's disappearence and the search for her do other missing children's lives have no value or meaning? |

I am doing nothing, I have my own problems and life to focus on.
I feel extremley sorry for this girl and her family and wish them all the best. |

I don't mean to sound cynical, but will you also be setting up a website for the little boy who was abducted today? And if not, why not?

not to be unkind but i can only pray that she will be found alive and soon .i do not have the ability to help with money.not to be cruel but there are many children out there who are in danger who have family looking for them all over the world.all these children are precious and deserve our love and support.what about Trenton Duckett the little 2 year old that has been missing almost a year from Florida, his mom either gave him away or killed him to keep him away from his father and then killed herself so she could take it to her grave! his father Joshua Duckett and family are still searching for this little boy! he may even be in Korea that's where his moms family was from.i pray for all these children and their families and i hope they have real answers soon. |

If you have permission from her parents fine = but I really doubt it.
Otherwise, at best you are an opportunist who has taken advantage of their misfortune to promote yourself, at worse you are yet another con-merchant who hopes to fleece people of their hard earned cash and line your own pockets.
You REALLY want to do something to help ? go promote mandatory death penalties for child killers .. |

nothing; i guess this is one of those things that happens (but rarely) but ppl have their own lives to tackle with and every 1 also have their own responsibilty to take care of their loved ones. it's madeleine's parents responsibility to be looking after her in the first place |

That is very noble of you but be careful of what they are using the money for. The McCanns are very media savvy people who are very good at promoting themselves. They are rubbing shoulders with celebrities and taking private jets everywhere. Don't forget they abandoned their children to go out and have dinner and now they continue to leave their remaining children with child minders. They will make plenty of money from their book and film they will no doubt release so give your money to a good cause. Don't get me wrong, I am totally sympathetic to Madeleine - she has paid with quite possibly her life through her parents selfishness. |

Madeleine was abandoned night after night in Portugal, left unattended with her even-younger twin siblings. Anything could have happened to the children while the parents wined and dined with their friends. How long does it take for danger to strike? Sickness, accident, fire, intruder? What was Madeleine meant to do if anything of these things happened? Mop up the blood? Make sure no one choked on vomit? Throw some water on the flames? Fight off an intruder?
Whatever happened to Madeleine McCann is not yet known, but there are various possibilities, none of them nice. However, giving money to her terrible parents will do nothing to discover the truth, whatever that may be. This case should be reopened by the proper authorities, ie the Portuguese authorities who retain primacy in the investigation. Maybe if Madeleine's mother decided finally to answer the 48 police questions she refused to answer before, it would be a start. Answers, not money, is what this case needs. IMO, of course. |
