I'm a Swedish Masseuse, recently qualified and really want to gain the trust of my clients by assuring them that I only offer therapeutic massage. Additionally I want to be able to make it clear to those seeking additional services that I do not offer such services.
What words would you look for to feel assured that a masseuse does only what they say they will do? |

First of all, avoid the word masseuse. Most of the nation, if you obtain the proper credentials (certification, licensing, etc.), is using "massage therapist" as part of the credential. Keep the words focussed on what you do offer rather than what you don't.
Examples: therapeutic; professional massage therapy; therapy for health and wellness; you can also list any licenses or credentials you have. Hopefully this will prevent most unnecessary calls. |

As part of your education, you should have had a business class or boundary classes that helped you with this.
Our teachers kept encouraging us to use the words:
"I only practice therapeutic massage."
If someone is insinuating sexual add-ons. You should say "I am sorry -- I only practice therapeutic licensed professional massage -- if you are looking for something else, then I am not the therapist for you."
In my experience -- if you place an ad, and you are trying to stress the fact that you don't do sexual massage -- avoid saying "No sexual calls please" or any statement with the word SEX -- because people who want sex will just automatically see this word and call you anyway.
Also -- you can word things in ways that are therapeutic like saying "treatment of chronic pain, medical massage, etc."

Holistic; soothing; regenerate; body&soul. Capture words such as these and make them big and small in your ad. No need to use sentences; just one-word phrases.
Find some way of expressing the swedish massage into action so your viewers can actually feel it because most folks don't know what a swedish massage is or how it makes someone feel. |
