If you have concerns over a question like this you so need to get out more! |

I think they're ok, but not sure how effective it is advertising to a bunch of drunk people, as most of these I've seen are in bars! |

I think they are brilliant. You have a captive audience... |

Not bothered not in there long enough to read or bother about them Although I think it would be very bad taste advertising something like Mr Kipling Cakes in a toilet. |

It really depends on whether the product has any interest to the reader. From a company prospective, it difficult to monitor the results as you have no real way of assessing the number of people who have actually taken notice of the Advert. Only by monitoring post-sale feedback will it give any indication whether people have remembered what they read. Any contact numbers or Website addresses have to be memorable, since not everyone takes a pen and paper with them..... |

I like to read in the bathroom, but it's weird to take a book with you into a public one. That's why I've always liked toilet ads. It's a good idea to have posters about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption there — a nice little reminder while you're retching your brains out. |

The Fixer

There are pros and cons.
Pros.
Long dwell times
Captive audience
Gender specific
Audience specific
Cons
The environment - It is after all a toilet
The number of posters required
The small audience (in comparison to High St posters)
People are often drunk (in bars) so recall will be impaired
Often in a poor state of repair/vandelised
They do give you something to read, and personally I dont find them intrusive. |

i think they are OK, gives you something to read while your there!! But i do not think it is a good marketing strategy, most people do not take much notice of them and by the time they have finished doing their thing they have probably forgotten what it was all about!! So yes, good thing to read, but not a good marketing strategy! |

I used to enjoy reading the graphiti, but advertisments get boring, it was fun watching the ever increasing converations in toilet world. |

Its a waste of advertising budget. I am unlikely to buy anything that reminds me of going to the toilet when I see it in the shops. |

Well, if you are a man, you are usually standing up. At the same time, you would welcome any writing that you might be able to read. |

It's like taking a magazine to sit upon the throne - Gives you something to do other than stare in to a little bowl full of p*ss |

i believe it is a good thing because it is something to do while you are standing there as its something to read, and more and more these days are becoming funnier, plus its a good way to be safe in the knowledge that no1 is looking, lol. |
