Hey Zoe, its pretty good actually! id say maybe put some pics in between the writing on the homepage to make it stand out a bit. I know you've got the gallery there, but it'll just be something more to look at when they actually arrive on the site.
Im going to be annoying and point out a spelling error too! In the word confident after the "working with silicon" bit. you've got it right in the other places tho! :D
Another little thing is the use of language in the bit saying "I have Great interpersonal skills when working within a creative team." im a bit geeky so im into NLP, how people pick up on what you aren't saying etc. and i think when you say that line, it might say to people's unconcious minds the opposite. (ie "I have Great interpersonal skills when working within a creative team" might interpret as "I dont have great interpersonal skills when im not working with a creative team", if you get what i mean!)
Other than that (and i am being fussy to be fair!) then its a good job!! :)

You should have at least a couple of pictures of your work on the front page. It's what prospective clients will want to see. Also, the blue banner doesn't fit with the rest of the design. Does the text work just on the white? |

Zoe,
I think you've done a great job keeping your site simple and to the point. I would definately put more pictures on the front of you and your work. You might also want to think about connecting a blogger or wordpress blog to your main site where you can write about some of the work you have done and perhaps even talk about current projects you are working on. I'm guessing you want people to find you and see your work & a blog can add that personal touch as well as give google plenty of fresh content to spider. I'd try to add to that once or twice per week. I have some articles on wordpress, blogger, and website design at my site link below. Just type what you want to find in the search box top of the site.

Nice website overall, but I have few things:
1) Your banner is taking up too much space, make it much smaller
2) You should show either your best work in a fairly big image in home page itself, or put one of those revolving image components that change the image every 20 seconds (don't have it update too soon, its very annoying)
3) make contact page a little bigger. White space below black space doesn't look too good.
4) If you can loose the link for "http://www.mrsite.com/" loose it. Then it won't be a distraction. |

I think it looks good and the darker colours make it look more Professional. Don't put loads of pictures and bright colours on the main page (it would make it look childish). |
