There is not an straight answer to this question. Most of the time you have to be an user and find out what would you need (as a costumer) to make your experience with the product a better one. I would say that what differences a product is service, post service and public relations (that's what makes people want to return for more). It doesn't matters if you have a great product if you can't get a happy costumer out of it.
