It depends how big it is, If it is a local business then direct marketing tecniques such as printing out a load of fliers and putting them thorugh letter boxes is a good way and cheap. Another way would be to buy advertising space in local papers or get adverts put up in shops. Also asking your exisiting customers to remember to recommend you is another simple yet effective idea...
If your business is national and you sent them out across England then maybe you could look at internet marketing by creating a website that allows people to order them on the internet. If you combine this with getting someone you know/hiring an SEO specialist (to make sure yopur page will show up when people search for nails on the internet) then that should get you some exposure.

Assuming that you your quality is high and your customers are happy and returning, the challenge is to get more potential customers to know about, and then try, your business. One method is advertsing. There are many options available, from flyers, to print ads, to radio ads, to websites and web ads. All of these options will cost and their cost will be approximately equal to the number of people you will reach. Another strategy is public relations. Consider some sort of event or promotion that will attract some media attention (i.e. free promotion) Most likely this would have to be some sort of charitable event or contest. Perhaps you could offer free nails for unemployed women who are applying for jobs or offer a percentage of a particular day's business to support a local cause. Perhaps you could put up monitors in your shop and always be showing popular movies that women will enjoy watching while you work on their nails. A third strategy would be cross-promotion. This is where you team up with another business and promote each other. An obvious choice might be a hair salon, but you may want to get creative and offer a special deal to women customers of a local hardware store ("Do your home repair without worrying about your nails, we'll make them beautiful after you finish"). Ultimately, if you have a quality service, anything you do to bring people into your shop for a first trial will help your business overall. |

My sister has a beauty salon and she made her own flyers and i made her a website but it costs a little.
In the first year she made a resonable profit thanks to the advertising. Also try a reduced price day, LIke such a % off for one day, then if the clients like it they are most likely to come back. |
