as not all clicks will be prospective customers, some may only be curious checking into what is available for the future references. can i pay for instance.01 cent per click ? if that is too small amount then what is a reasonable amount per click ? |

It depends on the keywords you will be targeting.
Search engines typically have a minimum bid you can place for a keyword, so even if you want to pay .01 cent per click for "home business" in Google Adwords if the minimum bid for the term is 0.75 cents, then your ad will never appear for the keyword.
If you want to pay a smaller amount per click, don't go for the broad keywords such as "jewelry" or "home business" or "weight loss" or "internet marketing." Choose a keyword such as "pink princess cut diamond ring for Valentines" or "earn money when you work from home".
The more specific keywords will give you fewer impressions and traffic, but they can bring in more targeted traffic at a lesser cost. There is no average reasonable amount per click as that will depend on your keywords |

I think yahoo's minimum is 10 cents a click. Although if you bid higher, there may be a chance that someone will see your sight sooner. So basically how much is a click worth to you? |

It is only worth paying for clicks to your web site if you have something that is in demand.
Weight loss is a multi billion dollar business. Do you have anything for weight loss?
If so, then don't pay for clicks, purchase weight loss leads to personally direct them to your site, because that's where the money is. |

Most of the major search engines have minimals of .10
You run a few test campaigns and you are looking for a good click thru of about 5% - although many people only get 1-2% - depends upon your market.
Then work out how many clicks you need for a sale.
Lastly work out the cost of the sale and make sure that you get a reasonable profit.
Trail and error I am afraid because there are too many variables.

Web clicks are filtered by the page rank of the site displaying the advertisement. Page rank 1 might get top dollar as page rank 0 will get the minimum click of not much. Your are talking about how much should you bid for the keyword you are targeting. Therefore whatever your bid is it will fall on the websites with the appropriate page rank. Pay top dollar and your add will appear on page rank 1. |
