Ok its a long story so ill just get straight to the point. For our english class we made a product and we make a speech about it and stuff. The product is a Watch Sat Nav. I'm in incharge of the selling point speech but I have no idea what to put in because im not really into business. So can anyone give me examples? |

A selling point is a reason for someone to buy the product. Something that catches their attention enough for them to pay money on that product instead of others. For example,Say your watch comes with a lifetime warranty and is made out of an indestructible metal, that would be a selling point. What you want to do next is create a phrase that is catchy and highlights the selling point.
For example " The Sat Nav watch, the watch of the future...now"

Think about the features and benefits of your product.Features include what characteritics it has - what functions it performs and how useful these will be to purchasers.This will give you clues to what might make people want to buy it (the selling points).

A selling point is something that will make people want to have your product.
For example, if you are selling a electric bike, the selling point could be having high speed, or long distance travel per charge.

A selling point is also unique to each person you speak to.
Example joe's selling point maybe saving money with your product, but mine might be getting specific features that increase the productivity of my job and finding my clients so i am prepared to spend more. Never presume you know what their interest is.
Know the market you want to sell to, research how the competition became successful and tailor the package to suit the customer.
The key is asking questions - i actually have 6 companies and around £52,000 worth of training in sales so if you need any help or sales packs i have made for my staff feel free to email me on director@unique2gifts.com im sure i can dig some out!
Notice the diverse range of selling points on one of my websites (www.unique2gifts.com) this came from researching my target market and finding out what they wanted from gifts and shopping and it is still being built, but you can see the angle im getting at.
