In negotiations, or any transaction there are different types of outcomes. These outcomes can be classified as
1. CONVERGENT Interdependence where goals positively correlated (+ + or - -) where there is a harmony of interests
2. DIVERGENT Interdependence where goals negatively correlated (+ - or - +) where there is a conflict of interests
A win-win situation is a form of convergent interdependence in which both sides interests are fulfilled. An example of this is an everyday transaction. For example, if you are hungy, you go to the store and buy a snickers bar- satisfying your hunger, and the store is satisfied by getting paid for the snickers bar
