Who are you selling to? Is your business local, regional or national? Advertising and marketing are very different things too.
The best and most inexpensive way to get a business going to begin with is to get influential people, people who others respect and rely upon, to like and endorse your product or service. For example, think how cool it would be for your product or service to be featured on the Oprah show. Naturally, you may not be able to get Oprah to endorse you, but look for trendsetters, opinion leaders, key people to see what you are doing. Then get them to talk.
Issue some press releases and get some free press. Get on a morning talk radio program or television program in your area to talk about your new and unique product or service.
Then, you can advertise something like "As seen on Channel 8 morning show....."
Another good approach is targeted direct mail to people on a mailing list which you could buy.
A lot depends on who you are, what you are selling and to whom. |

take alot of cards and hand them out,be polite and take time to discuss your business with these entrapenuars,,

I have built several websites. They are very cheap. So that is a good way to showcase your product. Classified ads within your market area to direct attention to your site are a must. People will likey check out the site to see what you are all about. So make it clean and attractive. Be sure to avoid what is known as bells and whistles... I suggest webmonkey.com for a tutorial on webdesign it is a good yet free site with plenty of suggestions and insight. |
