What is the best marketing tool for a pizza & pasta restaurant?
Could you suggest a marketing tool which entices you to buy more pizzas?

Direct Mail is far and away superior to every other advertising vehicle when your dealing with food.

People respond to good offers on food....and they never grow tired of it.

The trick to making direct mail effective is you'd better make it professional looking...don't design it yourself....."homemade" or amature looking mail goes in the trash. If it doesn't look professional then its assumed any message or content is of the same cheezwiz value as the cards appearance.

Secondly...you have to have an outstanding offer....it can't be conservative. Another key is to make your promo valid during your slow times...this way you are creating sales at times they would not have naturally occurred.....thus, even at a discount, you are creating positive revenue.

Also...never ever turn down an opportunity to let someone else print coupons for your restaurant on their own promo...they get the added value of tying "food" into whatever they are promoting...and now...you get their traffic too.

Good Luck

I've got years of experience in this field, since my company, Mark V Press www.m5p.net produces menus and runs advertising campaigns for hundreds of restaurants.

Let me bring in a couple of interesting points:
1st: Your place must be up to the expectations of the customers in terms of organization and cleanness and ingredient quality.

2nd: Have a menu designed so that it reflects the uniqueness of your restaurant. Use pictures of your own food (and hire a professional photographer rather than using your own camera) because it makes it much more realistic. Hire a company that through good design and attractive images will reflect the real quality of your restaurant.

3rd: The most likely customers of your pasta and pizza restaurant are neighbors living no more than about 3 to 5 miles (depending on the conditions on the area), so those are the people that you want to say hello to.

4th: Use Direct Mailing campaigns. Send the menu, use coupons, and do that in a systematic way. Make a plan, divide the area around you in sub-areas and mail twice or three times per year.
Use USPS to send your piece exclusively. Advertising envelopes or packages are less expensive, but the rates of response are too low. We see customers moving from USPS to packs and back into USPS more frequently you would expect.

5th: A simple website for your restaurant will be an important image tool.

6th: Use other advertising pieces, such as door hangers, letters, postcards, and coupons, especially when the delivery team is out in the field.

Please give me a call should you have a more specific question.

I can only suggest some marketing strategies.

- Market the restaurant as a 'happening place for your target segment
- Offer 'tailor made' pizzas according to your consumers' tastes and also pizzas suited to the local people's tastes/culture.
- Offer them side orders that they wish to eat along with the pizza.
- Home deliver (if possible, at odd hours as well, that'll be ur USP)

Direct mail coupons- use them to find new customers, increase order size and frequency, promote specific items, boost slower days of the week, and many other objectives.

I would also include a toll free number on your ads. People will be more likely to buy from you because: a) A toll free makes you look more professional and b) It's easier to remember than your boring local number. People are WAY more likely to call a number like 1-800-PIZZAS. Check out Chooseanumber.com to search through the national database. That's where I found mine.

- you can make a combo set or couple set or individual set with an affordable price..
- for the pizza u can deliver to customer..
