I use autosurf programs like http://www.topsurfing.net to get free hits to my site. They help a lot in getting your website higher in the search engines. I also have never paid for any advertising and my sites do well in search engines.

You could do a referral discount. You could also give a first time discount to new customers. Make up some flyers to put up around town with a tear-off at the bottom with your name and phone number for appointments. Put decals on your car. Wear a shirt, hat, or carry a bag with your business name. Leave business cards everywhere you go. A lot of areas have free classified papers, you could use those.

ok honesty i remember alot of companies through cheap giveaway items like a small clip or pen with a logo and name on it also a business website posted into the sig of a forum account you use frequently can get the word out. best of luck ^.^
