use a program called submit it, you can down load it free with lime wire or bearshare and include as many words relevant to the site, so the search engine will find it easier |

search engine optimization is good and pay per click advertising is probably the best way. if you dont want to spend much then there are some really good free websites for online advertising.

Select a domain name that is simple for your target market to remember. As for advertising, it depends upon the type of website and your reason for attracting traffic to it. Also, get a counting device from a company that offers them. That way you will know how much traffic is generated from an advertisement. One may try different types of advertisements to determine which ones are the most effective. Your question is clear and concise. I selected it to answer because of those qualities. If your website is AS clear and concise, you should attract people who value those qualities, as well. |

Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google
A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:
1) Create a blog pertaining to your field
2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!
3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.
4) Advertise on Craiglist
Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

Look at my website - get my email address, it's at the bottom of every page. Send an email telling me the address of your site and what it's about and I'll add you to my web ring page and you can do the same on your site. next time the spider bot from Yahoo visits my site, or the spider-bot from Google - they will follow the link to your site and hopefully you will get on those two search engines. Use repeated words on your site too. Meta tags help too. A group of girls in Italy used lots of pictures on their site - and put the word sexy in the file name of every one. Type sexy and IT (for Italy) into go ogle and search for images - you will probably find them! |

To bring more traffic to your website and help you advertise your site, you have to do a few things (1) multiple search engines submissions (highly recommended that you submit your site manually) (2) have regular and interesting content, add content regularly (3) use your site's "keywords" properly for search engine queries (4) strategic use of "meta" tags like the "content" and the "description tags etc. (5)promote your site as much as possible (like posting your site url in your question. I would have visited ), include your url in your emails, visit forums related to your site and post your url in your comments etc (without spamming).(6) have inbound links to your sites especially from sites that have a high ranking in search engines ....Seems like a lot of work and time involved but the web is highly competitive and if you want to be successful--do successful things.....For more in-depth information visit the link that I provided below (the site I used to increase my traffic) |
