Try StumbleUpon at http://www.stumbleupon.com and add your site to your favorites.
You can try article marketing at an article submission service like http://www.ezinearticles.com and link back to your website in the resource box for your articles.
You can also comment on popular blogs like John Chow's or Joel Comm's that allow linkbacks to your URL. Do a Yahoo Search.
Create a video and upload it to YouTube with your URL flashed on the screen. All of these are free. |

Here's a helpful article from Google.com on effective SEO metatag design and placement.
Placement of Metatags:
A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.
The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one's goods and services.
And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here's an easy way to get extra traffic to your eBay auctions...
...and we all know, the more traffic, the more bids and ultimately, the more sales you'll get!
First...answer this question:
"Do you look at other people's feedback ratings?"
You probably answered yes...
So here's my idea -
"Whenever you leave feedback, put your website URL in the feedback Comment"
If you don't have a website, no problem, see below for details.
I have only seen this done once! - me.
It's so easy and EVERYONE looks at feedback ratings before they bid.
So, the idea would be to try and leave feedback for users that get a lot of traffic...
How? - check out ebay pulse and look at some of the highest watched items and try bidding on one of them.
After, you bid and win, leave your feedback with your website URL in your feedback comment.
For example,
**AuctionResourceNetwork.com** - Excellent communication and great eBayer, Highly recommended
You can see how the domain will *jump-out* at the reader.
Also, when you leave feedback for your auction sales, do the same.
Now.., if you don't have a website, here's a quick trick on how to direct that traffic to your about me page.

There are loads of ways to get traffic to your website.
SEO, forums, emails, social networking, article marketing, link exchanges, the list goes on.
By far, the most effective, free way to get targeted traffic is to use article marketing.

Exchange links with a like/comparable business that gets a lot of traffic. For example: I have www.babyshowerfavors.net
I simply 'Google' baby 'shower favors'. I then go to the websites of the top 10 sites that come up from this search and request a link exchange. I place their link on my site and they place MY link on their site. This works out great since their site is already popping up in the top of the searches...and now MY site is visited regularly by people who come directly from that Top 10 site. Hope this makes sense. I have never paid for traffic but if you google 'babyshowerfavors' I am usually in the top 5. All because I have a link on just about all of the other 'Top Babyshower' websites.
You can exchange links with Real estate agents, home inspectors, interior decorators, etc. BUT remember, it DOES take time. You have to spend the time connecting with other sites before you will see results (3-4 weeks at least)
