One way is to use a lot of creative tags or keywords. For example, whether you are blogging, designing a website complete with HTML coding, or something else, make sure you put good, descriptive keywords or tags everywhere you can.
For example, if your website is about making money online from home, then you might use tags such as these :
get, paid, cash, make, extra, money, earn, dollars, get paid cash, make extra money, earn dollars, residual, income, residual income
Notice that I not only used the individual words, but longer phrases as well. The reasoning is that if someone searches for any of those single words, or they put in a longer search phrase, your site is more likely to be found by the spiders!
Another way is to use SEO and other tools for recognition. |

2 main things you need to do...
1. Write good quality content, lots of it, and update it regularly.
2. Get some quality backlinks from well ranking sites in the same niche as your own (i.e. same industry/subject)
There are loads of other things that will affect your ranking, but focussing on these 2 will have the biggest impact. Also check out some resources like seochat.com and digitalpoint for loads more information on the subject.
Lastly, be patient. You won't get a new site to rank well over night, it's a long term solution to attracting visitors. If you want immediate traffic you'll have to advertise or go down the PPC route with the search engines. |
