What is the difference between Vendors, suppliers and customer?

Suppliers supply product to vendors. Vendors vend the product to customers.

The vendor is the last step before a customer. Everything before that is suppliers.

Vendors-Companies that supply materials, products and services to your company
Suppliers-Suppliers are defined as providers of: a) Production materials
Customer-Someone who pays for goods or services

A vendor could either be a supplier of a product or a service. A customer on the other hand is the one paying for the product or service.

The difference between a vender and a supplier is who pays for the product.

A vender normally only pays for the items he sells. He takes the product from the manufacturer or wholesaler on consignment and returns unsold items.

A supplier either manufactures the product and sells it to a retailer, or buys it from the manufacturer and sells it to a retailer.

A supplier may provide parts to a manufacturer who uses them to manufacturer something else. An example: car parts supplied to a car manufacturer.

The customer is the buyer. The customer could be the end user or the retailer who in turn sells it to the end user, or the wholesaler who sell to the retailer.

A wholesaler will buy from the manufacturer ...the manufacturer's customer. He will then sell to the retailer who is his customer. The retailer will sell it to the end user, who is his customer.

Sales taxes are applied only at the retail level, or when the end user buys the product. That's why it is important to know the difference.
