Buy a semi truck and trailer, then get your own authority, then go online to some of the sites and get to know some of the truck brokers......If you have morte questions about this,,email,or IM me and I will be happy to expound further.
here is a "quick"chart I came up with..It is based on a per truck basis...
the average truck is getting about 6 mpg
so that is about 500 gallons for 3000 miles.
you can run 3000 miles a week, legally and comfortably.
diesel is averaging $2.73 a gallon,so
$1350.00 a week for fuel.
the average pay per load is about $1.50 per mile
times 3000,that is $4,500.00.
minus fuel(1350)that is $3,150.00
times 52 weeks= $163,800.00(woo hoo)
minus $200.00 per week for personal exp(times 52)$10,400.00==$153,400.00
set aside $15,000.00 for breakdowns etc=$138,400.00
take out $52,000.00 for your own income(home life)
and that leaves a total of $86,400.00 to go to the bank
(whew)
You can get a really nice truck and trailer(2000 thru 2002 models)combo for about $45,000.00,then the cost of start up ie;state and federal tax id's,business license, license plate for each vehicle, ifta permits and the 2290 "heavy hwy use tax"
and your looking at a grand total of about $52,000.00
$86,400.00 minus $52,000.00=$34,400.00
So AFTER your initial investment and AFTER you have paid yourself 52k for the year, you still put $34,400.00 IN THE BANK!!!!!(woo hoo again).
for grins and giggles, check out some trucks http://truckpaper.com
Imagine if you coulod do this with ten trucks($344k),or with a hundred(I just got chills)
whatever you choose to do,I wish you the best of luck. |
