I've been looking for a while now but i cant find any specific information. Im looking for what quantitative/qualitative information they might collect, and the primary/secondary methods they use?
No major company is going to advertise what marketing strategy they are following but it probably includes the following:
1) What the new eating out trends are.
2) Where they can next open a resturant.
3) How they can improve their menu.
They will then look at what has been sold, when and to whom via their management information systems. They will also keep an eye on customer perception.
They are a major brand going through some bad PR so they will be looking at ways to improve this.

Laughs apart, you would be surprised that McDonald's core business is not opening new restaurants and creating exciting menu for you and your kids...instead.........they are into real estate . According to one survey, today McDonald's own properties/restaurants across the globe at all the hot and upcoming places and had accumulated huge wealth.
.... now anyone can tell us what/how information are collected for real estate business........?
