Advertise!! Yellow pages, internet, flyers on doors, saturate your target area so people know you are there! Also, I like it when cleaning companies give me an idea in their advertisements of what they charge. You could run a special for new customers to get them in. |

I have my own cleaning company and I am the owner and laborer. I just passed out flyers house to house in upscale neighborhoods that I knew could and would use a housecleaner. If it is businesses you desire to clean then go to each one in person and introduce yourself and hand out a flyer or brochure.
After that if you are a good cleaner alot of your business should come word of mouth.

I don't know how new your company is. This answer is for a BRAND NEW company. If you are well established, don't follow this advice.
Most consumers who are tempted to respond to an ad think of all the reasons why they should NOT respond. You need to eliminate as many of ... or ALL of ... those reasons as possible.
Here is how you do it:
Print a coupon in your local newspaper for a FREE OFFICE CLEANING ... or home cleaning, if that is your thing.
Will you get burned by losers wanting a free cleaning? Yes. Many times.
Will you get a lot of new customers who are long-term customers? Yes. Many.
Some people just want to see how well you will perform, with no obligation. Make that happen, and watch your business grow. |

I would make up some brochures and go door to door handing them out. it seems like, at least at home, that we are changing cleaning service every few months for one reason or another. If you do it when quite a few people are home you'll probably pick up a few new accounts the first day or two. Be sure to ask the people you meet if they know of friends or neighbors who might need your service.
If you don't mind working evenings and weekends, I would target businesses. They are probably easier customers, and pay a little better. |
