Ultimately, every answer above is correct. And if you read them you see the underlying theme of know the customer and learn his needs. Understand, this is the concept all competition will use as well. To succeed, you must place yourself on a different road from those. Use their principles, but expand from them to offer something that they do not. Look outside the box, and place yourself in your client position. Not how can you help him today, but everyday and tomorrow as well. Explain how in doing that, you will help him expand his business with new insight to his customers, as well as dive down cost. This means new business and higher profit margins for him, and a client for life for you.
Customer service with continuous improvement is the norm today, you must take that standard and expand it to cut cost and innovate new market and technologies. If you can do this, you are an asset. Good marketing of that asset will make you in demand. In demand makes you a success!

Know their needs and as much about them as you can, including people they have done business with. If you are competing for their business, know your competitor and what they have to offer. You have to show them why they can't do business without you. |

when u meet him try to find out what exactly he needs / wants and jsut talk to him him about what he wants. Be his consultant. dont give him any extra information which may confuse him. Tell him WHAT IS IN IT FOR HIM. |
